March 21 - November 10

Garden volunteer days are every Thursday starting on March 21 through November 10. Volunteer hours are 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and on Open House Sundays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Work alongside Master Gardeners in our organic gardens. Learn to sow, transplant, harvest and preserve open-pollinated vegetables and herbs. Enjoy keeping our native plant and pollinator gardens in good shape for beneficial wildlife, and participate in our Monarch Butterfly program.

April 14- November 10

Guided tours of the homestead and gardens are available on the following dates from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. April 14 and 28; May 26; June 9 and 23; July 14 and 28; August 11 and 25; September 8 and 22; October 13 and 27; November 10 (last Open House of the year)

Spring Festival of Colonial Life in New Jersey and Plant Sale

We welcome you to the Garretson Forge & Farm Spring Festival! Admission is free and we have many events planned for the day! No registration is required for this event.

The day will include Homestead and garden tours; perennial plant and herb sale; children's activities; costumed reenactors.

We look forward to seeing you at the historic Garretson Forge & Farm in Fair Lawn, New Jersey!
